An advisor to CEOs for the past 30 years, Cardwell leads a software development and management consulting firm that helps clients succeed through organization-wide alignment and collaboration. He is the creator of Connections Online, a high-performance organization (HPO) process, supported by SaaS software. He is a well-known leadership coach, and creator of the 306 Group — a private leadership forum for CEOs and high potential number-twos, focusing on board governance, strategy execution, transition leadership and CEO impact.
Prior to founding the firm in 1983, he ran a regional practice at Ernst & Young where he advised Boards, CEOs and executive teams of Fortune 500 and mid-cap companies on strategy, executive recruiting and organization development.
A noted expert in Behavior-Based Business Systems and CEO coaching, Mr. Cardwell speaks at leading business forums and publishes papers in national publications. In conjunction with his work at Cardwell, Mr. Cardwell has co-authored Getting Wired, connections for a FAST organization.
He holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and an MA in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, where he graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
